TVD Shuffle Bored | July 7, 2008

The time has drawn neigh, TVD reader, to wrestle once again with happenstance and the uncertainties of the iPod. Right On! Love Wouldn't It Be Good. I've a mp3 of an acoustic version he did just a few years ago, sounds great. Wonder if he kept his hair or uses as much gel... shamus

Well, let's see what early -- very early -- Wednesday brings:

1. "Hard Time Killin' Floor" by Geoff and Maria Muldaur from "Sweet Potatoes," 1971.

2. "At This Very Moment" by Zephyr from "Going Back To Colorado," 1971.

3. "I Don't Care Anymore" by Phil Collins, Atlantic single 89877, 1983.

4. "I Never Knew His Name" by Linda Eder from "Civil War: Nashville Sessions," 1998.

5. "Cat Man Blues" by John Hammond from "Live," recorded in 1983, released in 1992.

Well, I don't have them all in my head. When I started adding my random fives here, I had no mobile mp3 player, so I tapped the random function on the RealPlayer. And every track on that player has discographical details (some of which required some research). I now have a Zen mp3 player, and sometimes use that for the shuffle, and sometimes I use the RealPlayer. When I use the Zen, it provides all the information but the year, and I cross-reference the tracks for that. Maybe it's just me, but knowing where a track fits in historically enhances my pleasure. Cheers!

I love the shuffle bored! Thanks so much for a week of it. I want to say, I've been a good supporter of music and bought several bands that I heard on here: crowded house, ABC and the cars. I knew the cars, but listening to your selection on here got me to pick up an album. Thanks for what you do.
