Here at THE VINYL DISTRICTwe're good consumers. All Mp3's are posted to promote and give exposure to the music and are linked for a limited time. Please download to preview, then head promptly to your local vinyl vendor (or - OK, CD store too) and fork over your hard earned cash. You'll appreciate the piece of mind.
Got something you think we should be listening to or reading? thevinyldistrict (at) gmail.com
On Monday, Boyd wrote in with some requests, and now come Wednesday morning, here they be. Hope we've chose wisely for ya. Keep 'em coming in, folks. I can't believe you've all downloaded everything as soon as they've been posted?
The Karla DeVito track wasn't in our archives, Boyd so hopefully this will suffice...

Long-time listener, first-time caller (or something like that.....i have several corny requests for some old favorites, and i hope it's okay that the only theme uniting them is that they are songs i don't have but wish i did. "Couldn't Get it Right", by Climax Blues Band; "Magic", by Pilot; "She's a Beauty" by the Tubes; "Traces" and "Stormy" by Classics IV; "Sunshine" by Jonathan Edwards; and "Run Run Away" by Slade. thanks!--Mark
Been looking for these for a long while: Nitzinger's "Texas Blues-Jellyroll" from the 1972 Mar y Sol concert and the BB King medley from Hourglass. The latter was on Duane Allman's anthology, the former was an FM radio staple in the early 70's. And while we're on the subject of 35 year old blues-rock, do you have anything by Potliquor (Louisiana)?
Thanx very much for filling the requests. The soundtrack on the video sounds different from what I remember from the LP but then again, it was quite a while ago. Much obliged.
Thanks for posting my Midnight Confession video...it was one of my fave tunes done by the Grass Roots when I was a little girl and i loved covering it on my Is This A Cool World or What?! Album on Epic. Just wondered what track Boyd requested? xxxkarla

Hi Karla - thanks for stopping by!
Boyd was looking for an Mp3 of your cover of "Midnight Confessions" but I didn't have it in the archives and made do with the YouTube vid.
And if you ever feel like guest-blogging some time, we'd be love to have ya'--just send a note...!
