Here at THE VINYL DISTRICTwe're good consumers. All Mp3's are posted to promote and give exposure to the music and are linked for a limited time. Please download to preview, then head promptly to your local vinyl vendor (or - OK, CD store too) and fork over your hard earned cash. You'll appreciate the piece of mind.

Y'know - I missed this feature on the blog. With all the planning for theme weeks and the like, there's little surprise here at TVD HQ as to what will be posted for any number of days. So, I'd like to turn it on its head over the new few and in turn be surprised with what the iPod shuffle play will reveal. And you too can play along at home, TVD reader. What are the first randomly selected tunes the iPod coughs up? Let us know...
Blur - Caravan The Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want Chromatics - Hands In the Dark Sunny Day Real Estate - Theo B SJ Esau - Cat Track
I do this periodically on my blog, called "IPOD ROULETTE", because it has the possibility of getting a little embarassing. Not Kenny G embarassing, but perhaps Kula Shaker embarassing. Here's a link to my first attempt at this back in January... http://econceipts.blogspot.com/2008/01/uncle-es-random-ipod-shuffle-10-songs.html
Not completely random, since my Nano is loaded with a few playlists, but here's what came up this morning:
Government Issue - Better Than TV Pearl Jam - Wasted Reprise The Minutemen - The World According To Nouns R.E.M. - Harpers (10-05-86) The Untouchables - Nic Fit
The Untouchables are the DC hardcore band - not the ska band from the mid-80s.
Now, keep in mind my iPod is severely limited due to the fact that new iPods are not compatible with MacOS X (for reals, it's the dumbest thing I ever heard of...), but here goes anyway:
Snowden -- My Murmuring Darling Massive Attack -- Man Next Door Radiohead -- 15 Step Cut Copy -- Visions The Presets -- Kitty in the Middle

Eh...I could do better...
Wha?! New iPods are not compatible with MacOS X? That's like saying shorts aren't compatible with sweatervests! How can that be?
