TVD's Shuffle Bored | February 8, 2008
The Friday Five - at random.
The Police - When The World Is Running Down, You Make The Best Of What's Still Around (Mp3)
Joe Jackson - Biology (Mp3)
Felt - I Didn't Mean To Hurt You (Mp3)
The Chameleons - In Shreds (Mp3)
The Longpigs - She Said (Mp3)
On a side note, 'Shuffle Bored' is implicitly an homage to the other fine bloggers out there, their tireless work, and whose efforts end up in rotation on all of our playlists and iPods. Today in particular, TVD tips its hat to Spinster's Rock for the wonderful unearthing of this early Chameleons single. Cheers!

Cripes, mine's gone eclectic tonight...
1. Square One - Coldplay
2. Western Promise - Ultravox
3. Redemption Song - Joe Strummer with Johnny Cash
4. When Jezamine Goes - The Bystanders
5. Circle Of Sand - Rickie Lee Jones
x
Let's see what 5 randoms in a row turn up. I promise not to lie if something lame comes on:
1--Satellite of Love, Lou Reed
2--Love is Strange, Buddy Holly
3--Underneath the Sky, Oasis
4--All the Way, Ladytron
5--I Heard It Through The Grapevine, The Slits
Okay, admitting I like Ladytron is a little embarrassing, but otherwise I think I made it through that relatively unscathed. I have far worse on my iPod.
That's the thing - no self-editing. I confess that I only have an iPod Nano, so by it's sheer memory capacity alone, it's self-edited. (Hence being "bored.")
BUT - the mega iPod looms as the next luxury purchase...embarassment(s) to arrive swiftly!
Got here on a Friday for once . . . let's see what we get:
"Walkin' Blues" by Muddy Waters (1950)
"Walk on Water" by Kimm Rogers (1990)
"Red Dirt Song" by Jimmy LaFave (2000)
"Don't Take Your Guns To Town" by Charlie Robison (2002)
"In My Time of Dying" by John Mellencamp (1999)
No guilty pleasures this time . . .
Thanks for chiming in guys! I was wondering if I should shelve this feature or not...
