TVD's Ten Weeks of Record Store Day Vinyl Giveaways - Week 5 | The First Taste is Free...

I’ve been the happy recipient of a few "Aw, thanks...” emails recently in response to alerting someone that they’ve won a record in our Ten Weeks of Record Store Day Vinyl Giveaways. More to the point, a handful have mentioned that they don’t even own a turntable (yet!) and/or this win will enable them to rekindle the relationship with their own turntables that went unattended for this or that reason.

And to this I say – fantastic.

I often wonder if we’re just preaching to the choir or making new converts along the way and I’m starting to think that when the first taste is free, you’ll be coming around for more.

So, this week while we take a short break from our label showcases (and we have some really cool ones coming up) we’re giving away more vinyl. All week.

First up – Athens, GA’s Twin Tigers’ debut LP, Gray Waves out now on Old Flame Records.

Aquarium Drunkard’s quote alone sold me: "A four piece, the bands live show kills, reminiscent of Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine and Psychocandy era JAMC."

What’s not to love?

The rules can't be any simpler for our RSD2010 Vinyl Giveaways. All you need to do to enter to win is to leave a comment in the comments section to that week's giveaway letting us know why you deserve to win that week's LP.

Be creative, funny, incisive—whatever it takes to grab our attention to deem you the winner. Most important however is to leave us a contact email address! You can be brilliant as hell, but if we can't track ya' down, you're out of the running.

All winners will all be notified
on Monday (3/15) upon the launch of the next RSD2010 Vinyl Giveaway!

Being the first to leave a message is one in the bag. But as a broke student to get the album of a band that I love to go see and support would be amazing especially because I heard its on clear blue vinyl!

If you don't pick me as the winner, I will broadcast myself shaving while driving a manual transmission automobile at high speeds via Twitter.
