It's The Dig's Vinyl District Giveaway!

As we mentioned this morning, The Dig's 'Electric Toys' hits your local record store shelves today and the band has come up with a pretty unique way to give a few away and to see them live.

On them. And on us. In your town and venue of choice.

Fresh off a string of dates with The Joy Formidable, The Dig are gearing up for a tour with Thrice, Bad Veins and Kevin Devine this summer with 28 dates in 28 different cities.

Three runners up
will receive a CD copy of 'Electric Toys'
into the bargain!

We'll choose the winners on Monday (6/14) by noon and I can't stress this enough—leave us a contact email address! Good luck!

You should pick me because I saw them the first time they came to Austin with Portugal. The man. Since then they've became my most played on my iTunes, I've gotten all my friends listening to them, I participate in any voting necessary for The Dig, and I know all the words to their songs. Austin is just a great place to live and it's awesome of them to come here. We welcome the Dig with open arms. PICK ME!!

Demetrio,
Yea I've only been able to see them once at Maxwell's when they were playing with the White Rabbits. That show was great and I even had the chance to talk with them for a little while after their show. They're cool guys and I would love to see them again. And since NY is their hometown it will most likely be even a better show.

Hey hi! Alright, listen. I saw The Dig in DC when they toured with Portugal, the Man, and I fell in love with the song "Sick Sad Morning." I saw the lead singer talking outside on his cell phone and was going to tell him how much their performance bedazzled me, but I was only able to shyly say, "good show." Embarrassing, right? But hey guys...that show, was really fantastic. They captivated my attention right from the start of the show. That being said, I already know that the show in Carrborro, NC is going to be amazing. It's a small town so I feel like it'll be more personal and my attention will be kept at all times. Woohoo! <3

Well hey! So my first and only show was when you guys played in DC touring with Portugal the man but it brought me closer to the poster above me! It was our first show together and if you guys went to Carrborro, NC then there's a huge chance it would be my second show and I know for a fact you guys don't disappoint! What's better than bringing people together to love eachother and (your) music?

I'd Love to see The Dig - tis true that I never have. But I live in Phoenix and Tempe is right here and the Marquee date is looming and I think it would rock out and there's nothing I like more than rockin' out and I think The Dig do a fine job of it and boy they stomp too and wow, wouldn't it be nice if we were younger, so we wouldn't fade out so early in the evening? Oh yes...

So yes, The Dig, Tempe, AZ, July 15th, should be 115 by then! Fun! Sweat! Heat! Oh and I might even throw up a promo blog piece about 'em at my haunt Waved Rumor. E: dfactorpop@yahoo.com
