It's a TVD/Submarines Giveaway!
I admit I was a little late getting into TVD HQ this morning. We were up late last night hammering together details for the DC Record Fair and reviewing the final poster art, so I was unable to see The Submarines, Blake and John, off as we wind down their big blog takeover week.
They had tidied up the office quite nicely and tossed out all the pizza boxes and empty bottles which is always appreciated. And they’ve left a little something behind for TVD readers and Subs fans.
We’ve got a great litho, a portion of which is shown below, and a rare, unreleased remix CD of their second record ‘Honeysuckle Weeks’ for three of you who pipe up to claim the set in the comments to this post. We’ll give ya a week and leave us some contact info too, ok?
Track listing for the remix CD: 1940 (AmpLive Remix), You, Me & The Bourgeoisie (Tonetiger Remix), Brightest Hour (Morgan Page Remix), Submarines Symphonika (Ra Ra Riot Remix), You, Me & the Bourgeoisie (Alaska In Winter Remix), Submarine Symphonika (Wallpaper Remix), Brightest Hour (Free the Robots Remix), Xavia (Stryofoam Remix), 1940 (Sub's Section Quartet Mix)

I've loved the Sub's features this week, and it would be so awesome to get this remix CD- I'd especially love to see what Ra Ra Riot did with Symphonika!
I've heard two of these remixes before -- the AmpLive one, especially, is very excellent. Great beats. I'm sure the other remixes are just as awesome! It would be sweet to be able to check them out.
Remember to leave us some contact info too please...thanks!
Mmmm. I love me some Submarines. And I definitely love me some free swag. It's been pretty neat to pick their brains a bit this past week with their TVD takeover. I'll try and think of something a bit more insightful before the week's up.
...but just in case I don't. Haha. geneprice2005@hotmail.com
Oh! I can be found at oneseventy at gmail.com!
Great job by the Subs and a dynamite litho too. Very nice to read about the overseas influences shaping early listening habits and molding the current model. We all reflect where we came from. Thanx for letting them share your pulpit.

oh, sorry! You can reach me at srdfrn at gmail dot com.
The Submarines. Sweet, wonderful purveyors of modernized Beach Boy-esque melodies. 'Honeysuckle Weeks' is filled with songs that just challenge you NOT to bob your head to their infectious beats. It's very cool to see where all the diverse, often complex, sounds have derived from. That lithograph looks pretty fierce too. Bright and sunny. Pretty fitting, as that's how I'd describe the album. I've yet to listen to any of the remixes so it would be nice to get my hands on the cd because I... actually enjoy them. *ducks*
My contact info is above.
