Ah, China Crisis. 'Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms' was another album I had on cassette that is no more -lovely to be reunited with 'Christian' again.

Davy beat me to it. 'Christian' is one of my top 10 80s songs. I'm not promising anything but I'll try to post some China Crisis next week.

My gob was more smacked to see The Bathers...I played Friends Again this week on my radio show.

Great to see China Crisis though. Lovely.

For the record my 5 this week are:

BenJamin Costello 'Such great heights'
The Smiths 'What's the world? (live)'
The Raspberries 'Go all the way'
Animal Collective 'Banshee beat'
Depeche Mode 'Halo'

Blimey... cover versions, power pop and bop diddy bop...fascinating.

Dusty.

Have any of you guys heard of MUDDYHEAD? It's a band that includes a couple of former members of China Crisis, Gary Daly and Andy Steele. They recorded a wonderful album called Land And Sea (2006)- check out tracks like Miracle Cure, She Moves Me and All Manner Of Men. The band recorded a second album, TRUE BELIEVERS & THE GUISES OF THE WEASEL, but for some reason they dropped the MUDDYHEAD name and it was released under ANDY STEELE's name only, although it's just as good as the other one (try Vincent, No Relief Except For Sleeping or Tonight So I Can See). China Crisis fans will like!
