I thought Willie covered the Elvis song...
RN- Willie's take is quite similar to Elvis Presley's, but the original artist is Brenda Lee. She released it in early 1972, with Elvis releasing his version later that same year.
You can't talk about Willie covers without mentioning his heartfelt and heartbreaking read of Lefty Frizzel's "The Way Love Goes." And speaking of Lefty, how about Dwight Yoakam's cover of "Always Late with your Kisses"?
