...an open plea this morning for some needed assistance on converting cassettes into Mp3 files, because I’ve got some of my old radio shows from the ‘80’s that are most likely: hilarious.
Meanwhile, it’s 11:13 on a rainy Thursday morning here in the District. You’re listening to TVD On The Radio. Here’s the first single off the new—yes, new—Blow Monkeys record, ‘Devil’s Tavern,’ —‘The Bullet Train...’
The Blow Monkeys - The Bullet Train (Mp3)
The Turtles - Elenore (Mp3)
The Clientele - Bookshop Casanova (Mp3)
Woodhead Munro - Mumbo Jumbo (Mp3)
The Changes - Her, You And I (Mp3)

Hey TVD! I have been exploring how to convert tapes to mp3 and found two options.
"Insert your cassette into any old tape player, plug one end of a stereo cable into its headphone jack, and plug the other end into the microphone jack on your laptop or desktop. Then hit play on the tape player and record in a free audio program, such as Audacity or GarageBand."
I tried this but had trouble with getting the volume levels correct (too distorted or too low).
The second option is to buy this: http://www.ionaudio.com/tape2pc
