Thanks for introducing me to L.E.O Jon.

I already knew about Paul Nicholas - and have consequently avoided him for 30 years. He was seen Dancing with the Captain at Grandma's Party and later became the victim of a cruel incident involving a group of Suedeheads and the rough end of a pineapple.

I am an unabashed 20+ year (.... with a big gap in the middle) fan of THE BLOW MONKEYS - who were criminally under-appreciated in their day. As such, I was ridiculously excited when I read that their first new record in over 18 years - DEVIL'S TAVERN - was about to hit the ground.

I'm not sure what I expected, but as it turns out, the record is AMAZING, and totally different that one might expect.

It's almost as though it had been only 18 months at the height of their popularity, and that their intent was to take their signature sound in a whole new direction, which they always did during that first phase of their career.

The could have settled for a re-tread "re-union" album... but they didn't. They moved their game way forward.

It's always good to have your youthful convictions validated. Listen up!
