TVD's Daily Wax | Echo and the Bunnymen "Songs To Learn & Sing"
Despite the absence of a traditional TVD theme...this week and for the foreseeable future (although I have a roots reggae week in the works as the weather warms...) I am sensing a theme I think. If Freddie were here, he'd be singing, " Those were the days of our lives/The bad things in life were so few..."

I don't know why exactly, but I love this album cover.
Because all four are wearing crocs?
a bigger question is why am I just now learning about The Vinyl District???
Peace, love, & LPs,

...and I am indeed JUST learning about tsururadio.com myself! You shall be added to the blog roll, sir...
TVD - you are certainly on a roll with the nostalgia. It was bad enough that, after an earlier posting, I had to pull out my old copy of Aztec Camera's HIGH LAND, HARD RAIN. Later, it was the English Beat (WHAT IS...) and another record to dust off.
Now you've gone and added perhaps my most played vinyl from the mid-80s. SONGS TO LEARN AND SING was an incredible collection of early to (then) recent top cuts, including the shimmering "Bring on the Dancing Horses."
Later on, I picked up the CD format and was dismayed that version of NEVER STOP contained a different intro from the vinyl release. After so many plays from the vinyl, I couldn't really embrace the alternate take.
If it weren't for you, I couldn't say how long it would have taken to revisit these gems in my collection. Prefab Sprout. INXS. Yes. Beatles. (OK... I've never retired my Beatles collection)
Yours is a wonderful contribution to the blogging world.
Just when I thought I was becoming way too ...predictable. Many thanks, epota...
