I could really relate to this as I've always been a mixtape person myself, starting back in the days when I was so little I had no money and spent hours making my own painstainking mixtapes from the radio. The story about Travis's mixtape was absolutely charming. Brings back so many memories. Thanks for sharing these tracks and your thoughts with us!Aya Amurjuevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04964763021417597231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442455430231444267.post-22555336302767306022008-09-05T10:35:00.000-04:002008-09-05T10:35:00.000-04:00Great memories of mix tapes and using them to try ...Great memories of mix tapes and using them to try and impress girls. Thanks for all that you do to create the same feeling with your blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442455430231444267.post-30761536871470136342008-09-05T10:11:00.000-04:002008-09-05T10:11:00.000-04:00I appreciated your comments about the technologica...I appreciated your comments about the technological innovations and the changes they have made in our music-listening lives. When my son can't figure out my a music video he's been sent won't open on his computer, I tell him (using my best Grandpa Simpson voice), "Oh, back in my day, I would spent all night making a mixtape for the girl who sat next to me in European History..." And, my mother, overhearing us, uses her genuine grandmother voice to tell us about the first LP she brought home and how it didn't work on her little phonograph player because it had been designed for 45 rpm singles...Dickie Wallacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05657208747858208488noreply@blogger.com
