OUCH the sunlight hurt my hangover. Coming Up is the beginning of the end for sure. And the second best album is Sci Fi Melodies- that counts as an album right? shamusAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442455430231444267.post-47055693358993120322008-06-03T12:22:00.000-04:002008-06-03T12:22:00.000-04:00I like Coming Up a lot and think DMS is also reall...I like Coming Up a lot and think DMS is also really good - I revist these two way more than the first album. One of my top 5 all-time shows was seeing Suede tour Coming Up at the Fillmore in San Francisco (1997?). Brilliant night.
NoahAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442455430231444267.post-24092440366794963262008-06-02T21:37:00.000-04:002008-06-02T21:37:00.000-04:00Ok, I'll give you their first album's their best, ...Ok, I'll give you their first album's their best, but not Dog Man Star (good, but overrated--just my opinion).
I don't know, this album just sounded so optimistic, and DMS sounded so forced. Perhaps it's the departure of Bernard Butler (who was a great guitarist) and the addition of Richard Oakes--more fuzzed out and...sleazy, which is what I always liked about Suede from the beginning.
I know I'm in the minority here...Uncle Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04570327775449916376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442455430231444267.post-84708938970098380102008-06-02T20:22:00.000-04:002008-06-02T20:22:00.000-04:00Oh, Uncle E...methinks you need to respin the debu...Oh, Uncle E...methinks you need to respin the debut LP and 'Dog Man Star'...Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03401281910218683136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442455430231444267.post-18280673126715543872008-06-02T20:20:00.000-04:002008-06-02T20:20:00.000-04:00I agree.
